— Print design and writing exercise done in Adobe InDesign
Eco Architecture is a two-page spread practicing print design for an imaginary green-building firm. My intention with this design is to go big, quite literally. The “E” from “Eco” covers both pages in the design, creating a sense of unity for the ready.
For future renditions, I would experiment more with the opacity and blend modes of the “E” accent feature. It may also be worth considering continuing the photo underlay of the building with plants, perhaps extending that pattern onto the right-hand page as well.
The Layout
Another fun part of this project is creating the body copy for the design. While it is not a full, feature story, it is great to exercise writing and content creation to incorporate with the design elements.
